Hi! I’m Rebecca, owner and founder of Peace & Paws.

I’m a full-time professional pet sitter and dog walker based in beautiful Charleston, South Carolina. I’ve been caring for animals for over 20 years, and for the last decade I’ve had the privilege of running Peace & Paws, a business built on trust, experience, and genuine love for the animals in my care.
Peace & Paws began in Cincinnati, Ohio and Northern Kentucky, where I spent eight years building my client base and reputation before relocating to Charleston to start a new chapter. Since arriving in the Lowcountry, I’ve been honored to grow a wonderful community of clients who value professional, reliable, and compassionate pet care.

Peace & Paws specializes in overnight pet sitting, dog walking, and cat care visits, along with services such as feeding, medication administration, and customized care routines designed specifically for each pet.
Every animal has their own personality, habits, and needs, and I believe great pet care starts with truly getting to know them. I take the time to understand each pet’s routine, energy level, and comfort preferences while also building strong relationships with their owners. Love, nose boops, belly rubs, playtime, and snuggles are simply part of the experience.
Exercise and outdoor enrichment are also an important part of a dog’s overall well-being. Whether your dog enjoys a relaxed neighborhood stroll or something a bit more adventurous, I tailor each walk to match their personality and energy level.

As a pet owner myself, I understand how important it is to trust the person caring for your animals and your home. My goal is always to provide the same level of care, attention, and responsibility that I would want for my own pets.
Peace & Paws is fully insured, and I am certified in pet CPR and first aid. I continually educate myself on animal behavior and the evolving pet care industry so I can provide the safest and most professional service possible.
