Hi! I am Rebecca, owner and founder of Peace & Paws!

I am full time pet caretaker, professional dog walker and pet sitter based in beautiful Charleston, South Carolina. I have been caring for animals for over 20 years and have developed a deep love and respect for our furry friends. I have owned Peace & Paws for 10 years now (8 years in Cincinnati, Ohio/NKY & 2 here in CHS) and I adore what I do, it is truly rewarding and fulfilling. I may be covered in pet fur and dog drool at any given moment but I wouldn’t trade it for the world.

In my short time here in Charleston I have grown a superb community reputation which stems from the high standards I have and the quality care that I give to each of my clients. My hard work and dedication has proven such as I won ‘Platinum Best Pet Sitter in Charleston’ for 2021 & 2022 with Charleston Community Votes!

My services include dog walking, cat drop ins, overnight pet sitting (my specialty) feeding, and administering medication, just to name a few.

I understand that every pet has unique needs, and I always take the time to get to know each animal and their specific requirements as well as forming a relationship with their owners! Love, pets, nose boops, cuddles, play time and snuggles are standard services and practices with every visit.

I believe that exercise and outdoor time are essential for a pet's well-being, which is why I offer personalized dog walking services. Whether your furry friend prefers a leisurely stroll or a more rigorous hike, I will tailor our walks to their energy level and preferences.

As a pet owner myself, I understand the importance of trust and reliability when it comes to entrusting someone with the care of your furry family members. You can rest assured that I will treat your pets with the same love, awareness and attention that I give to my own. Bristol, Allie Ray, BooBoo, Pete, Rose... and Myrtle the tortoise!

I am insured, and have undergone training in animal care and their behaviors, everyday I continue to learn more about pets and my niche of pet sitting. Additionally, I am certified in pet CPR and first aid, so you can have, you guessed it, like my motto says, ‘Peace of mind while you’re away’ knowing that your pets are in safe hands.
